THE NORTH FACE CLIMB FEST x BROOKLYN, NY

Adaptive Climbing Group

When the Adaptive Climbing Group partnered with us to document The North Face Climb Fest in Brooklyn, NY, we knew it was going to be a unique event. Set directly along the East River, the festival transformed the Brooklyn waterfront into a deep water solo climbing venue, bringing together professional climbers, adaptive athletes, brands, and the broader climbing community for an unforgettable weekend of competition and connection.

Throughout the weekend, paraclimbers competed on the towering deep water solo wall in front of packed crowds, showcasing incredible athleticism and helping shine a larger spotlight on adaptive climbing within the industry. Hosted by Alex Honnold, Chris Sharma, Robyn Ragins, and Mario Stanley, the event brought together some of the most recognizable names in climbing while creating an environment that felt approachable, welcoming, and community-driven.

A Weekend of Climbing, Community, & Connection

Our role was to capture the full atmosphere of the weekend through both photography and video content. We documented dynamic climbing moments on the wall, lifestyle imagery throughout the venue, and candid interactions between athletes, spectators, and organizers. Beyond the competition itself, we focused heavily on the human side of the event — the conversations between climbs, the energy around the waterfront venue, and the sense of connection shared throughout the festival.

The weekend brought together an incredibly talented group of adaptive athletes, including world champions, professional climbers, and some of the most accomplished paraclimbers in the sport. We had the opportunity to document athletes including Melissa Ruiz, Maureen (Mo) Beck, Ben Mayforth and many other impressive climbers throughout the event. Because athletes, organizers, and professional climbers spent the entire weekend together, we were also able to capture authentic interactions between the paraclimbers and some of the biggest names in climbing. Alongside the photography coverage, we also created a highlight reel for social media use, helping extend the energy of the event beyond the weekend itself while giving the Adaptive Climbing Group a polished collection of content for future storytelling and promotion.
